Bliss Farm is a Native American-owned business located in Citrus Heights, California, dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional Indigenous agricultural practices.
We offer a variety of hands-on classes and seminars that focus on Native American farming techniques, emphasizing sustainability, respect for the land, and time-honored methods of cultivation.
Each class provides an opportunity to learn how Native American farming principles can be applied in modern agriculture, fostering a deeper connection to nature and food sources.

Sustainable Fertilization Techniques

SCOUTS BADGES PROGRAMS
Badge Qualifying Courses & Classes Workshops:
*6 person minimum per course, prebooking required.
Natural Sculpture Design (Outdoor Art Creator Badge): In this course, participants will gather natural materials like leaves, flowers, and seeds from the farm to create art, including nature collages and sculptures, Participants can take their art creations with them! $5 per participant
Gardening Basics (Gardener Badge): Plant and tend to crops, learning about soil preparation, composting, and organic farming techniques. This engaging 2-day course (4 hours total) teaches participants the fundamentals of growing food organically, from seed to plate. Participants will plant their own seeds during the first session and have the chance to take home their sprouted plant after attending the second. Everyone will leave with a planter, seeds, soil, and the skills to grow their own food!
$20 per participant
[This is a 2-day course - 1st and 3rd Sat of the month. $20 includes both classes]
Farm Product Launch (Product Designer Badge): In this exciting course, participants will learn how to take a small farm business idea from concept to market. They’ll explore product identification, basic economics, packaging, label design, marketing strategies, and selling techniques. $25 per participant
Farm Art (Woodworker Badge): In this course, participants will have a blast creating farm art using reclaimed farm items. From signs and sculptures to birdhouses and more, the possibilities are endless—let your imagination lead the way! $25 per participant
Bliss Farm Over-Nighter (Outdoor Adventurer Badge): This overnight adventure begins with learning how to set up a functional campsite, complete with a tent, fire pit, and seating. Campers will enjoy farm-to-fork snacks cooked over an open flame while learning essential fire safety. After a night of campfire stories and s’mores, they’ll sleep in the tents they built earlier. The morning kicks off with a delicious pancake breakfast at 8:00 AM
Please note: This is not a fully guided activity, so appointed chaperones must be present at all times.
$35 per camper (1 chaperone per 10 required, and camp for free)

Sow What? Badge: Investigate where food comes from by tracing the journey of crops grown on the farm, from planting to consumption.
Animal Helpers Badge: Help care for farm animals by feeding them, cleaning their enclosures, and learning about their behaviors and needs.
Farmer Badge: Work alongside a farmer to learn about daily farm tasks, such as milking cows, collecting eggs, or harvesting crops.
Cook Badge: Harvest fresh produce from the farm and use it to prepare a meal, learning about farm-to-table cooking
Eco Learner Badge: Learn about sustainable farming practices, such as crop rotation, water conservation, and natural pest control methods.
Entrepreneur Badge: Create a mini-business plan for selling farm products, such as fresh produce, honey, or handmade goods like soap or candles.
Naturalist Badge: Observe and document wildlife around the farm, including birds, insects, and other animals, and create a nature journal.
